Game Rules
Players must be 21 years old or older to use the Poker
Piazza software.
We cannot accept real money players from Costa Rica. You
are welcome to play at our Fun Poker tables.
Poker Piazza will not tolerate ANY form of cheating, chip
dumping or soft playing. All reports or evidence of cheating
will be investigated immediately and thoroughly, if
investigation proves a player was cheating, chip dumping or
soft playing the player/players will be permanently banned
from the site.
Players are allowed a management-defined number of all-ins
per day. Once they have used their allotted all-ins for that
day, their hands will no longer be protected against
disconnects or time-outs and they will be playing at their own
risk. We suggest not playing with 0 all-ins remaining. If you
have questions, please contact the HOST on duty.
All-in abuse will not be tolerated. This is considered
cheating and will result in being banned from the cardroom.
Requests for all-in resets (real money) will be investigated
before being granted to ensure they are not being abused.
In the event of a server crash in the middle of a game, the
game in progress will be considered void, and all chip counts
will be reinstated as before the game started. If you felt you
had a winning hand on that game, we apologize, but the game is
considered void. No exceptions.
If collusion is suspected, please report immediately to the
cardroom manager, who will conduct a full investigation. If
investigation confirms collusion, colluding players will be
banned permanently from the site.
Disputes should be brought to the attention of the HOST.
Please do not instigate a dispute in room chat as it can often
cause more harm/dispute. Click the HOST button and bring to
management's attention. Management decisions are final.
Player abuse will not be tolerated. Clean chat only.
Offensive words are not allowed. A warning will be issued and, if
abuse recurs, the offending player will be suspended or banned
from cardroom.
English is the only language allowed at the tables. Later,
we may add more approved languages as our ability to monitor
other languages increases.
There is a maximum of three raises allowed per betting
round. When the action is down to two players (heads up) at
the start of the betting round, there is a maximum of six
raises allowed. Six raises per round are allowed on all
heads-up tables.
Players are given 30 seconds maximum to act when it's their
turn. Not acting in those 30 seconds will result in the player
being timed out and the hand folded. As a courtesy to fellow
players, please act promptly when it's your turn to keep the
game fun for everyone.
Blind straddle is optional to player on immediate left of
big blind in flop games. Straddle is equal to double the big
blind and is not considered a raise. Straddles are considered
"live" and player that straddles will have option to raise
after all other players have acted before the flop.
Some of our flop games are labelled "kill" or "half-kill"
games. For Hold'em and Omaha High, when two consecutive games
(with minimum pots that vary depending on the game limits) are
won by the same player, the next pot becomes a kill pot
(also called killer pot) and the betting limits for
that game are doubled from published limits of that table. The
small and big blind stay the same, but the player who won two
pots in a row must put in a live kill blind (double the big
blind) regardless of where he is in relation to the button.
Action occurs in same sequence as normal, and when it is the
killer's turn, he has the option to raise. On half-kill games,
if the pot is killed, the next game is 50% higher stakes (for
example, a $4-$8 becomes $6-$12 if the pot is killed) than
original published limit for that table. On Omaha Hi-Lo, the
criteria of when a pot is killed are different. In this game,
if a pot is scooped (same player takes high and low portions
or takes high portion when no low is possible) by one player
and over a minimum amount, then the next pot is killed. When
playing on a Kill table you MUST kill the pot if you win the
option.
We also allow chopping of blinds when a game has more than
5 players. Both players must agree in advance by clicking on
the CHOP BLINDS checkbox in poker room. (A "c" will appear on
your name plate) When the game is short-handed (defined as
five players or less in), chopping of blinds is not permitted.
Poker Piazza uses a modified blind system similar to other
internet cardrooms. There is always a big blind and small
blind, and the button always moves.
New players are required to post a live bet equal to the
big blind.
Poker Piazza runs many promotions awarding promo bucks.
Promotions awarding promo bucks require playing a certain
number of games before cashing out the award amount (200 raked
hands for every $25 won). Restrictions are posted on every
promotion, so please be aware of this or ask a HOST for
details
Accounts with Poker Piazza are individual accounts and
under NO circumstances are accounts to be shared or used by
any person other then the name of the account holder. If it is
found through our security measures that multiple people have
played/logged into an individual account that account and all
accounts found to be associated will be permanently banned
from the cardroom.
Players are allowed ONE account only and under NO
circumstances should you open another. If it is found that a
player has more than one active account, that account and all
associated accounts will be immediately and permanently barred
from the cardroom.
Poker Piazza allows only ONE account per computer to be
opened/played. If it is found that there are multiple accounts
opened or played from a unique computer all associated
accounts will be immediately and permanently barred from the
cardroom.
Whilst we pride ourselves on running many Fun, Fair and
attainable promotions and incentives it is important to note
that these can be cancelled or altered any time at
management's discretion.
In all matters above and any not mentioned, management's
decision is both fair and final.
Players play at Poker Piazza at their own risk.
